Size Guide
Garment measurements, not body measurements. All figures are for the blank shirt laid flat, in inches, and are approximate. The product page is always the final word, because blanks, colors, and available sizes can change.
T-Shirts
A retail-fit unisex tee. It runs closer to the body than a boxy classic-fit shirt, so if you prefer a relaxed drape, size up one.
| Size | Length | Width (chest, flat) |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 27 | 16 ½ |
| S | 28 | 18 |
| M | 29 | 20 |
| L | 30 | 22 |
| XL | 31 | 24 |
| 2XL | 32 | 26 |
| 3XL | 33 | 28 |
| 4XL | 34 | 30 |
| 5XL | 35 | 32 |
Measurements may vary by up to 2 inches.
Crewneck Sweatshirts
A classic heavyweight crewneck with a roomier cut than the tee. Most people take their usual size. Note that it starts at S rather than XS.
| Size | Length | Width (chest, flat) | Sleeve length |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 27 | 20 | 33 ½ |
| M | 28 | 22 | 34 ½ |
| L | 29 | 24 | 35 ½ |
| XL | 30 | 26 | 36 ½ |
| 2XL | 31 | 28 | 37 ½ |
| 3XL | 32 | 30 | 38 ½ |
| 4XL | 33 | 32 | 39 ½ |
| 5XL | 34 | 34 | 40 ½ |
Measurements may vary by up to 2 inches.
Hoodies
The hooded version of the crewneck above, built on the same body block — the length, width, and sleeve measurements are identical. The hood and front pouch pocket are the difference.
| Size | Length | Width (chest, flat) | Sleeve length |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 27 | 20 | 33 ½ |
| M | 28 | 22 | 34 ½ |
| L | 29 | 24 | 35 ½ |
| XL | 30 | 26 | 36 ½ |
| 2XL | 31 | 28 | 37 ½ |
| 3XL | 32 | 30 | 38 ½ |
| 4XL | 33 | 32 | 39 ½ |
| 5XL | 34 | 34 | 40 ½ |
Measurements may vary by up to 2 inches.
How to Measure
Don't measure yourself. Measure a shirt you already like, lay it flat, and compare it to the table.
Width. Place the tape at the seam under one sleeve and pull it straight across the chest to the seam under the opposite sleeve.
Length. Measure from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the bottom hem.
Sleeve length (sweatshirts and hoodies). Start at the center back of the collar, run the tape along the top seam of the sleeve to the shoulder, then continue down the sleeve to the hem of the cuff.
Between two sizes? On the tee, size up — it's the more fitted of the three. On the sweatshirt and hoodie, most people are fine staying put. Every item is made to order, so we can't accept returns for fit. Five minutes with a tape measure now beats an appeal later.
Still unsure? Email hello@priorauthorizethis.com with the product name and the flat measurements of a garment you already own. We'll tell you which size matches. No body measurements needed, and we won't ask for any.
