Frequently Asked Questions

Orders & Shipping
How long until my order ships?
Every item is made to order, so production takes 3-5 business days before your package ships out. Nothing is sitting in a warehouse — your shirt is printed specifically for you after you order.
How long does shipping take after that?
Domestic US orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days of shipping. International orders typically take 7-20 business days depending on the destination and local postal service.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note that customs fees, duties, and import taxes are determined by your country and are the buyer's responsibility — we have no control over those charges.
Is shipping free?
Yes, on US orders over $60. Below that, standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. If you don't see it in your inbox, please check your spam or promotions folder — and if it's still missing, email us at hello@priorauthorizethis.com and we'll resend it.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If production hasn't started yet, yes — email hello@priorauthorizethis.com as soon as possible and we'll do everything we can to help. Once production has begun, we're unable to cancel or modify the order, since each item is custom-printed.
Returns & Replacements
What's your return policy?
Because every item is printed on demand specifically for you, we're unable to accept returns or offer refunds. We know that's a lot to ask, so we take quality seriously and stand behind every order.
What if my item arrives damaged, defective, misprinted, or wrong?
We'll replace it at no cost to you. Just email hello@priorauthorizethis.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue, and we'll get a replacement on the way.
What counts as a defect?
Misprints, print errors, wrong size shipped, wrong item shipped, or damage that occurred during production or transit. Slight variations in print texture and small color differences between your screen and the finished garment are normal characteristics of garment printing rather than defects.
What if I ordered the wrong size?
We totally understand — sizing across brands can be tricky. Unfortunately, because each item is made to order, we're unable to exchange for a different size. Our size guide has detailed measurements for every product, and we always recommend checking it before ordering.
Products & Printing
What kind of shirts do you use?
All t-shirts are Bella+Canvas 3001 — a unisex, true-to-size, soft cotton tee that's an industry favorite for a reason.
How are they printed?
T-shirts are printed using DTG (direct-to-garment), which prints the design directly into the fabric fibers for a soft, integrated finish. Sweatshirts are printed using DTF (direct-to-film), which transfers the design onto the garment with heat for a durable, slightly raised print.
Will the print look exactly like the photo?
Very close. Every garment is slightly unique — DTG prints can have subtle variation depending on the fabric's dye lot, and DTF prints have a slightly smoother, raised feel. Both are normal characteristics of high-quality garment printing.
How should I wash my shirt?
Wash inside out in cold water. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Avoid ironing directly on the print, skip the bleach, and skip the dry cleaner. Following these care instructions will keep the print looking great for a long time.
What about the sweatshirts specifically?
Same care: cold wash inside out, low heat or air dry, and no ironing directly on the print. DTF prints hold up well to regular washing — the main thing to avoid is high heat in the dryer.
Do you offer other sizes or styles?
The sizes available for each product are listed on the product page. If there's a size or color you'd love to see that we don't currently offer, email us at hello@priorauthorizethis.com — we genuinely take requests into account.
Sizing
How do your shirts fit?
True to size with a unisex cut. If you're between sizes or prefer a roomier fit, we recommend sizing up. Full measurements are available on our size guide.
Are the sweatshirts the same fit as the shirts?
No — the sweatshirts are a different garment with their own measurements. Please check the size guide for sweatshirt-specific dimensions before ordering.
The Brand
Who's behind this?
A small team that has spent too much time on hold with insurance companies. We're keeping the brand faceless on purpose — the message matters more than who's saying it.
Are you affiliated with any insurance company, healthcare provider, or advocacy group?
No. We're independent. No sponsorships, no partnerships, no PBM money. The commentary stays sharp because nobody is signing our checks.
Is this a joke?
The shirts are real. The denials are real. 300+ million prior authorization denials per year — real. 82% overturned on appeal — real. Fewer than 1% of patients who ever appeal — real. The humor is how we cope with the fact that all of that is real.
Where does the money go?
Sales support the work — keeping the content going, making more of it, and paying the people who help produce it.
How can I share my story?
Submit it on our Share Your Story page. Real, documented experiences are what fuel the content. Names and identifying details are removed unless you specifically want them included.
Do you take submissions or guest content?
Sometimes — email hello@priorauthorizethis.com with what you have in mind and we'll get back to you.
Still have questions?
Email hello@priorauthorizethis.com and a real human will get back to you within 1-2 business days. No phone tree. No hold music. No "your call is important to us."
